Mark was absent for this show. Apologies for the strange sound on this show. Not sure what happened there but we were in a different studio than usual so we probably buggered up the mix.

Below is footage of the band d.USK which we discuss when talking about Disembowelment. I was lucky enough to see them live at the Evil Invaders 3 gig in Sydney and it was a spellbinding experience as I’ve loved Disembowelment since I first heard the Deep Sensory Procession Into Aural Fate demo in 1991. They had perfect sound and played about 4 or so Disembowelment songs as well as a few new songs and it was just incredible. Andy Dykes was the man who first played them to me and I was very glad he was next to me when we both first saw them live as we had a blast. d.USK have since morphed into Inverloch who have an album called Dusk | Subside coming out on Relapse Records in April. Check out Inverloch here. Sadly I couldn’t find a better video than this of d.USK live so if you have anything better than this please post a link as this certainly doesn’t do them justice.

Mark was absent for this show. The final song we play by Bad News is from a British comedy series called The Comic Strip Presents…. There were 2 Bad News shows made and they are much in the vein of Spinal Tap although the band were really hopeless and dysfunctional. Note this was in production at the same time as the Spinal Tap movie. Fans of The Young Ones tv show will recognise 3 of the 4 housemates in the band. Here are links for the 2 shows in crappy YouTube form although you can buy a DVD boxset of all The Comic Strip Presents… shows which I highly recommend. The song we play is from the soundtrack which is also hilarious.

Steve was absent for this show. This show featured the first airing by us of a new Autopsy song All Tomorrow’s Funeral from the compilation of the same name. Below is pretty budget clip (with some good facial expressions from Chris) and also 2 pics of me looking like a tool meeting Autopsy drummer/vocalist Chris Reifert at Maryland Deathfest in 2010 and at Chaos In Tejas in 2011.

The Indian politician we discuss with the unfortunate name of Sheila Dikshit can be read about here. I think this photo shows the look she would give us for the discussion we have.

We also discuss the band Turdus Merula so check them out here. The name is the latin name for the Common Blackbird and here is a picture of the bird in question looking suitably grim.

Steve was absent for this show. The picture of the…er…gentleman’s magazine that Steve was “reading” we discuss is below. Thankfully it’s a bit blurry (possibly due to Steve being “in motion” while taking the photograph)

Also we discuss Australian cricketing legend David Boon who enjoyed a beer or two (read about him in the Glossary) and here is a skit from The Chaser which is bloody hilarious.

The end of this recording is cut off. I think this is the first instance of Mark playing a Death Devil song from the K-On anime which he is now obsessed with so here is a clip I found from the show. I couldn’t find a clip of the song we played except for some idiot playing along with the recording. I’ll never understand why people video themselves covering songs (usually poorly) and it’s only interesting if it’s some 5 year old kid drumming along to Cryptopsy or something actually interesting. OK rant over here is the clip.

Also as an added bonus here is a Playgirl cover with Pete Steele from Type O Negative on it. I decided to not post any of his nude pics but if you are really interested then a Google image search will yield them easily. Urgh bit of a worry that this issue appears to have Keith Richards nude in it too :/

Here are several talk show appearances from Pete when the Playgirl issue came out. I hadn’t seen the Springer one so glad I found it. Apologies for the crappy quality for Ricki Lake but it’s the only version I could find.

Mark and Steve were absent for this show. Below is the flyer and a clip from the Dirtypunkmutha (aka Christbait) show from New Years Eve 2011 which I talked about during the show. Unfortunately I can’t find clips of Blow or Coinslot My Buttcrack which are my favourite Christbait songs but this song did go off live and I was very pleased they used the sax player from the album. Seeing those songs played live for the first time in 15+ years was just awesome and I had a great time with Melbourne friends and my good mate Andy who was probably the one who first played me Christbait back in their Prod demo days.
