Steve was absent for this show.
The rather bizarre Japanese song we play by Utsu-P is produced using the Kagamine Rin vocaloid which is a singing synthesizer software package that is massively popular in Japan and used on many thousands of songs. Mark is quite obsessed with this stuff and has blu ray discs of vocaloid songs played live with a hologram performing the singing and dancing. Below is an example of the most popular vocaloid Hatsune Miku which is the software that Mark wants to produce black metal with and is also the source of the vocals of the Nyan Cat video. As you can see the crowd are a little too into it for my liking but I do love the Japanese as they have quite the special culture.
Here is the picture of me holding the real Monistat 7 yeast infection cream taken in a Chicago chemist. I actually own a t-shirt of the band Monastat 7 which has a charming back print of diagrams of how to apply the cream and once when I wore it in a shop a woman behind me said in a loud voice “maybe I’ll get a shirt for bowel cancer” although she didn’t have the guts to say it to my face. I barely restrained my laughter. Small things…
Here is a picture of Mark’s rather silly shoes that we discuss. That boy has too much time on his hands.

Steve was absent for this show. Also I messed up on the Deicide song and half way through managed to start the next song so apologies for the stuff up.
During the show we play a song by The Great Kat who is a rather confident metal musician who was classically trained at the Juiliard School in violin and has interesting interpretations of thrash mixed with classical. As can be seen in the clip below she is supremely confident of her skils and also has an outlandish image and I remember well reading interviews with her in metal magazines in the late 80s where she just rambled on how amazing she was. In reality her music is kind of crap and is essentially just standard thrash with classical motifs and wanky solos over the top of everything. A search on YouTube will yield you great results and also check out her website here where you can buy cds, dvds and also Great Kat underpants!
Haha holy shit while I was searching for her old clips I found this “gem” which looks to be more recent. Hmmmm
Also we mention an interview with Oderus Urungus from Gwar where he makes some not so flattering comments about Dave Mustine from Megadeth so here it is. Oderus is a legend!

This recording cuts out during the final song and the final talk break is not heard. Two songs haven’t been identified by me yet so I’m going to play them to the other two idiots at the show tomorrow to see if they can work it out. The first song sounds bloody familiar and I keep thinking it’s Melechesh or Absu but I can’t find it in my music library. If you know what either song is please leave a comment below.
During one talk break we mention the actor Divine and a scene from the movie Pink Flamingos where she eats some dog shit so below is the clip and also a mini doco on Divine which is quite interesting.
The “Mike Hunt” scene we play is from the 1982 movie Porky’s which is a legendary 80s teenage-boys-trying-to-get-sex sort of movie. I always preferred the movie Screwballs which was as purile and of course Revenge Of The Nerds (“we have bush!”). Here is the scene.
And finally here is the Knight Rider theme song which I was trying to find on my phone to play over the microphone to piss off Steve. I still love this music even if the show itself is garbage when I rewatch it now. Following it is a current ad on Australia tv for a beer called Hahn Super Dry which is drinkable but definitely not a high quality beer. I love the ad though as it’s very silly and has the Knight Rider theme music playing.
